Timbers
Lee Roy Jordan Lumber Company carries one of the most comprehensive timber inventories east of the Rocky Mountains. Western Red Cedar and Douglas Fir are our primary species but we can special order Redwood, Ipe and Cypress timbers when desired.
Size is rarely a problem as we carry sizes as large as 12” x 20” and lengths as long as 40 feet! Our Hillsboro Texas remanufacturing plant can surface timbers when a smooth finish is requested. We can also cut corbels, rafter tails and brackets from our timbers as a service to our customers.
Seasoning checks are often impossible to avoid especially when dealing with beams larger than 8x12. These splits or checks rarely effect the structural characteristics of the timber and should be expected in all large beams.
